Supply the Love: Teachers
Supply the Love: We supply the camera and film and you supply the love! We would love to have you be an ambassador of Print the Love! If you are traveling to an under-resourced community anywhere on the globe in the next year and would like to participate in spreading random photo kindness to the local people, lets chat! Together we can make a difference! Application is online.
The Supply the Love program is 100% supported by donors. If you are not travelling, you can still donate funds towards the camera and film for those who are.
As part of the program, we ask that ambassadors write a short description of their experience. All the words are their own.

On May 4th, 2024, Kids In Need Foundation recognized and thanked 1,000 Twin Cities teachers who work in underserved schools at our annual "Thanks A Million!" event in conjunction with Teacher Appreciation Week. Kids In Need Foundation supports equitable learning environments in under-resourced communities through the provision of supplies and resources, investing in teachers and students alike.
Having fun with the date, May 4th, we adopted a bit of a Star Wars theme (May the Fourth Be With You). Jill Fitzpatrick, a KINF employee, donned the Ewok outfit you see below and shuttled her "Concierge Cart" around our outdoor event.
Jill always has a smile and kind word for everyone, so she was a natural to use your camera and engage all the teachers! She stated "The instant photos were awesome! We need to do them again next year! The teachers loved them! Many teachers brought their own children to the event, and the children loved getting their picture taken by an Ewok.
Jill said, "There's something special about showing care and appreciation for someone by asking if you can capture their moment in a picture, and then literally sharing it with them. It's an amazing thing to see. I'm so glad that I could be a part of that". Of course it is especially poignant when in reality these teachers are needing to invest time on a weekend to work to source school supplies so that they don't spend more personal funds to equip their classroom. Despite these circumstances, we saw so many smiling faces and captured those moments with your camera and instant film.
One teacher remarked, "The entire event had an uplifting vibe: volunteers were friendly (I liked the woman in Star Wars gear. She was cool). I felt appreciated. That alone made me want to go back into the war zone-- at least for another year."
Thank you Print the Love!
