Board of Directors
Ceallaigh Anderson Smart - Chair - "I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because… the act of giving a photo is so simple yet extremely profound, not only for the recipient and also for the giver. Spreading love and telling another that they matter doesn't have to be complicated."
Mab Nulty - "I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because... the gift of an instant photo is a beautiful spark of service and love that has positive rippling effects for giver, recipient and others." Mab is now retired, but used to work as a licensed psychologist in private practice. Outside of working with Print the Love, she enjoys leaning to play the harp, traveling, being active in her neighborhood’s woman’s club, creating, reading and spending time with her family (including 3 grandchildren!) and friends. Three years ago her and her husband started a small press called See Double Press and she thinks working on making it grow is very fun and fulfilling.
Stephen Smart - "I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because… as a photographer I appreciate photos and what they capture, but as a PTL participant, I’ve seen how having a photograph for the first time is so impactful to every recipient—so much happiness is expressed!" Stephen is a renaissance man - a musician, photographer, woodworker, mechanic, and start-up entrepreneur.
Krystal Atwood - Secretary - "I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because... I saw firsthand the value of a photograph when I served with the Peace Corps in Rwanda and neighbors shared photos of loved ones they had lost in the genocide. Life is such a fragile thing but with a photo you capture at least one shimmering moment of it." Krystal Atwood is trained as an art therapist and has worked with children in the hospital with major illnesses, adults with Alzheimer’s Disease, teen survivors of sex trafficking, and survivors of torture. She believes that beauty heals and that Print the Love helps people to experience healing by capturing a moment of beauty.
Dan Singer - Treasurer - "I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because... I experienced first-hand how the gift of an instant portrait breaks down barriers and reveals shared humanity across cultures.” Dan has always lived within 10 miles of the Minneapolis hospital in which he was born. While a lifelong Minneapolis resident, Dan is a frequent traveler and is committed to exploring the world. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Dan started a career in asset management and currently works in corporate banking. His interests are exploring parks, Nice Ride cycling and seeing every exhibit at local museums.
Sonja Lemmer Martens - “ I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because... I am a mother. I cannot imagine not having pictures of my children when they were younger. Pictures of all family are so important. As an amateur genealogist, I get joy from pictures of ancestors I never met as well as family members who are no longer with us. I want to share the joy of memories and connection with others.” Outside of volunteering for Print the Love, Sonja has been an attorney in Minnesota since 1992. Sonja is married and has two, college-age children and two dogs. In her spare time she enjoys learning to garden, reading and, when possible, travelling.
Sarah Fowler - “I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because....kindness is a powerful thing. It connects us to each other as human beings. I've experienced countless acts of kindness from strangers and those I know, here in Minnesota and around the globe. The kindness I'm shown always inspires me to pass it on.” Sarah is the Assistant Account Manager at AdoptAClassroom.org, where she helps implement national cause marketing campaigns that support teachers and students. In her free time, Sarah serves on the executive committee of the Tempo Board of Directors (Minnesota Opera’s young professionals board). As the audience development chair, she plans seasonal events in partnership with the company, to build the next generation of opera goers.
Joe Seifert - “I am passionate about supporting Print the Love because...I believe every person in our world is worthy of kindness and love. The gift of an instant photograph not only gives each person a treasured memory, but shows them that their life matters.” Joe is an data analyst at the United Way in Minneapolis and in his free time, he enjoys baseball, camping, being outdoors, and travelling.
